Super Rare Games has become well known over the last few years for providing much-loved indie games with the chance at a high-quality, exclusive physical release for the Switch. These releases are limited to super small production numbers (only a few thousand) with high-quality goodies packed in, which makes any game released under their label a near-instant collector’s item.
I’ve received a copy of one of Super Rare’s latest releases, and so I hope you enjoy this unboxing and review of Wytchwood! This copy comes with collector cards, a manual-style art book, as well as the Switch Cartridge.
Wytchwood is a cosy crafting adventure, in which you, the Witch, must unlock your memories by traversing the land and completing quests for the pesky goat on your property. There are many wacky characters and cheeky creatures to meet along the way. This game is an absolute treat. For it to get the physical treatment from Super Rare Games is well-deserved.
Although it’s a sweet game, with very calming music and a lovely fairy-tale book aesthetic, Wytchwood made its way onto our Spooky Games list. I had a lovely time opening up this game and having the wonderful experience curated by Super Rare Games. You can check out my initial thoughts in the video below.
