Amazing: Kowloon Nights and Devs Surpass 150mm in Revenue

Kowloon Nights Logo showing kitsch but cool neon letters spelling Kowloon Nights
Simple but effective logo of a fox (kitfox games logo)

Kitfox Games:

“Kitfox Games is a small indie studio in Montreal, Canada, that has released seven titles on Steam and consoles, sometimes as developer and sometimes as publisher. They’re probably best known right now as the developers of Boyfriend Dungeon and future publishers of the upcoming graphical version of Dwarf Fortress. Their work with Kowloon is on an unannounced title. All we can tell you is that it has simulation elements!”

League of Geek's nice but imposing logo of a stylised chimera with yellow to magenta gradient

League of Geeks:

“League of Geeks (you can call us LoG) is a ‘Triple-i’ videogame development studio and publisher in Melbourne, Australia. Most well-known for our seminal digital board game, Armello, we’re now working on not one, but two new IPs with our pals at Kowloon Nights.”

A simple but elegant logo for the video game Sword of Symphony, written like a music sheet.

Stephen Ddungu:

“I’m a self-taught game-dev, musician and animator based in the UK. I’m currently solo-developing Sword of Symphony; a musical action RPG where players fight with the power of music.”

Really basic but cool "W" logo for Webble Games; resembles space ship

Webble Games:

“Webble Games is an indie game studio based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We are happily working on our passion project right now and cannot wait to share it with the world”

Possibilities

There have been a number of horror stories surrounding large video game publishers over the past few years. These range from workplace harassment at Activision Blizzard to the omnipresent issue of crunch and microtransaction implementation. Even a simple matter like the owners of certain IPs not willing to invest in those games can stymie the creativity and workflow of a video game publisher. Taking all these potential problems into consideration, it’s a breath of fresh air to see there are still avenues available to developers that are both liberating and lucrative.

Kowloon Nights is always looking for more titles to add to its portfolio. To find out more, check them out at https://www.kowloonnights.com/ or look at our Discord for more news.
