Top 10 Most Valuable amiibo Figures

5. Solaire of Astora

One of the most bizarre amiibo inclusions is the Solaire of Astora, the one and only Dark Souls amiibo in existence, and all it does is unlock the ‘Praise the Sun’ emote early in Dark Souls Remastered. This gets points for absurd uniqueness, why of all games, Dark Souls, needed an amiibo is beyond me and I seldom know anyone with this guy in their collection. But if you’d like him for his “why” factor he often fetches between £50–70, but be careful there are lots of fakes of this one for some reason.

4. Poochy

My white whale, Poochy is the 5th in the series of Yarn amiibo and is just so damn adorable. He was released to commemorate Yoshi and Poochy’s Woolly World, a port of the WiiU title for 3DS. Due to this being an inferior port made available after the Switch’s launch, it didn’t sell well, but it immediately became valuable amongst amiibo collectors. As an owner of all the other Yarn amiibo this is the one I really wanted but it got away, and for his asking price of £65–75 he is likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future.

3. Gold Mario

Contrary to popular belief, Gold Mario is not the most valuable amiibo, but it is a close contender. He is functionally identical in all ways to the regular and silver Mario Series Mario amiibo with the exception of Mario Maker granting a gold costume and Mario Party 10 giving a golden counter. Besides that, unless you really want to flex that you have the gold Mario amiibo then having any other Mario will suffice for its functional use. You can pick up this golden monstrosity for around £60–70.

2. Mega Yarn Yoshi

This larger variant of the adorable Yarn Yoshi line was released alongside the three coloured variants in order to provide a more huggable friend to play Yoshi’s Woolly World with. He functions exactly the same as normal Yarn Yoshi (which functions the same as Yoshi) so it’s the size that pushes this guy’s value. As he started with an RRP of £39.99 it’s not too surprising that this guy fetches anywhere between £60–100 depending on condition, a large sum for a large amiibo.

1. Gold Mega Man

Potentially the upset here, Gold Mega Man edges over Gold Mario to take victory as the most coveted and expensive figurine. He was only released in a bundle with the 3DS port of the Mega Man: Legacy Collection and is a figure made solely for bragging rights to commemorate that special release. It’s very unlikely it will ever see a rerelease considering it was made for one game, is a third-party character and the 3DS is long dead. However, if you want another golden reskin to match your Mario then he’ll fit that niche perfectly! If you want one of your own, they will likely cost you around £100, pretty steep!
