What Are The Most Valuable Amiibo Ever?

Nintendo’s amiibo figurines were incredibly popular and, even now in 2026, are quickly swept up by their dedicated collectors. Some were released a lot less frequently, and some have never seen the light of day since their initial launch. That got me wondering, which amiibo are the most expensive? (In the UK)

Disclaimer: This article will not include any factory defects or Japan-exclusive amiibo. It will be updated periodically to update the ranking as certain figures get reprinted.

10. Yarn Yoshi

The trilogy of yarn Yoshi amiibo were released with Yoshi’s Woolly World in 2015, and are easily the most adorable. But, the adorable factor comes with a price, they are very easily damaged and volatile. This means as time goes on, they get rarer and rarer and such the price will continue to inflate. The price is dependent on colour, the pink one starts at £25 and the blue and green are a little pricier at £30. So if you want an adorable friend for yourself, best jump on it while you can.

9. Silver Mario

A lot like his golden brother, we’ll meet later, Silver Mario is purely a cosmetic change that exists solely to look fancy on your shelf. Silver’s often associated with second best, so it was more widely produced and is, in turn, a great deal cheaper than its golden counterpart. This means you can pick him up for almost half the price at around £35-40.

8. Lime Green Inkling Girl

Like Silver Mario, this one is a colour swap – being identical functionally to the Series 1 orange inkling girl amiibo. The recolours of this series never saw a rerelease, so they are sought after by collectors of Splatoon amiibo. If you just want functionality, go for the cheaper option. But, if you want a complete set then you’re going to have to set yourself back around £35.

7. Detective Pikachu

This large boy is the special Detective Pikachu figure, the only Pokémon series amiibo that isn’t a card or from Super Smash Bros. Why they decided to make this amiibo so large in the first place is a mystery, but considering it had no use with the sequel on the Nintendo Switch, this chunky boy is likely stuck in the past. You’ll have to shell out £30-35 to get your hands on this mighty piece of amiibo history.

6. Metroid

Probably the most unique amiibo on this list, the Metroid amiibo is a soft and squishy alien attached to a hard plastic base. This alone would make it incredibly desirable from a weird and wonderful perspective, but it has the added bonus of being able to help you find the nearest Metroid hidden nearby on the map in Metroid II: Samus Returns. Due to its uniqueness, and despite the recent restock, it’s relatively hard to find and sells for around £35 unboxed.
