Nintendo’s amiibo figurines were incredibly popular and remain quickly swept up by their dedicated collectors. Some were released a lot less frequently and some have never seen the light of day since their initial launch, so that got me wondering, which amiibo are worth the most? (In the UK)

10. Joker

One of several third-party picks from this list starts with Joker, the main character and stylish phantom thief from Persona 5. Most notably the first “real” DLC fighter of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, being a SEGA/Atlus character means he is a lot less prone to random restocks so he fetches a decent £30 when he isn’t being sold on the My Nintendo Store.
9. Malzeno

One of the cooler large amiibo figures comes in the form of Malzeno from Monster Hunter Rise. While dragons already have an inherent cool factor, this one’s colouration and unique design push it into the ‘cool even if you don’t play Monster Hunter‘ territory. As Rise leaves the “latest title” status soon, it is unlikely this will get a restock so £35 is likely the lowest you’ll catch him for the next while.
8. Silver Mario

A lot like his golden brother we’ll meet later, Silver Mario is purely a cosmetic change that exists solely to look fancy on your shelf. Silver’s often associated with second best, so it was more widely produced and is in turn a great deal cheaper than his golden counterpart. This means you can pick him up for almost half the price at around £35–40.
7. Detective Pikachu

This large boy is the special Detective Pikachu figure, the only Pokémon series amiibo that isn’t a card or from Super Smash Bros. Why they decided to make this amiibo so large in the first place is a mystery, but considering it had no use with the sequel on the Nintendo Switch this chunky boy is likely stuck in the past. You’ll have to shell out £45–50 to get your hands on this mighty piece of amiibo history.
6. Metroid

Probably the most unique amiibo on this list, the Metroid amiibo is a soft and squishy alien attached to a hard plastic base. This alone would make it incredibly desirable from a weird and wonderful perspective, but it has the added bonus of being able to help you find the nearest Metroid hidden nearby on the map in Metroid II: Samus Returns. Due to its uniqueness, they haven’t manufactured many of them, it’s relatively hard to find and sell for around £50 unboxed.
