Which Zelda Do You Think Is The Most Fashionable?

Which Zelda Outfit Do You Think Is The Most Fashionable

No Wonder Your Descendants Are Named After You. Girl, You Slayed.

Hyrule Warriors: Master Quest

This dark-haired damsel only made it this high because of just that. I’m not the biggest fan of the chest plate; however, the purple of her bodice contrasting with her hair is lovely. Her sash melding into the bodice, too, is a welcome visual. The spikiness of her tiara is an aggressive sort of elegance that displays Zelda’s demeanour perfectly.

A Link Between Worlds

You only need to glance at this gown to see why it’s ended up in this section. This style is so incredibly endearing, it’s no wonder the people of Hyrule love their princess. The design team really did pop off with this style of clothing, which is probably why it reappears time and time again.

Spirit Tracks/The Minish Cap/The Wind Waker

This Zelda look was very clearly well-loved in the workplace. I adore her little shoulder drapery, and her dropped waist is such a fun addition to a classic Zelda adornment. The feathers in her hair are a lovely accessory to add to this toon trendsetter.

Hyrule Warriors

Details are not missed on this lovely lady. We’ve seen very similar outfits to this one in this very tier, and we’re going to see more. I’m not sure whether this is Stockholm syndrome, Hyrule Warriors being one of my favourite games, or whether the outfit is just that great. All I know is, I love everything about her, from her golden heels to the tips of her tiara.

Hyrule Warriors: Twilight

In a very different approach, this sharp dresser shows what it means to be a warrior of light. By swapping out the gold for silver, this outfit looks battlefield-ready, yet still sophisticated. The shell-like patterning on the hem of the dress is elegant enough that even the pieces of armour adorning the princess’s arms and chest do not take away from the beauty.

Twilight Princess HD

I do love Zelda’s Twilight Princess look. Unfortunately, though, the HD version is slightly too brightly coloured for me. The sash is beautiful, but the skirt has lost that very subtle pink in favour of a more concentrated pink, albeit not by much. Either way, this outfit is still a showstopper, and I’d love to see it reappear in the franchise. Maybe in the aforementioned movie?

Breath of the Wild

This outfit from Breath of the Wild works with Zelda’s long hair. The yellow brushing against the deep blue of her cape is beautiful and flows in a way that just feels magical to look at. The white bodice isn’t too offensive here, either, as the gold embroidery on it blends the bust and skirt together well. With the addition of the white gloves, this is a much more elegant style and suits Zelda to a tee.

Four Swords

I never thought I’d love a ponytail as much as I do here. The oversized ribbon in her hair adds a childlike charm that isn’t too overpowering. This garment is a wonderful mix of elegance and playfulness that is familiar yet unique to the franchise. Bravo!

Tears of the Kingdom

Now I know what was bothering me! It was the length of the hair! Zelda looks much better in this outfit with her luscious locks chopped into a bob. Let this be a lesson to those of you waiting to brave the cut. You’ll never know what looks good on you unless you try it!

Skyward Sword

This is what I wanted from the Ceremonial Robes in Breath of the Wild. The purity of the princess just emanates from this ensemble. With just the right amount of blue and lilac in the artist’s shading, this robe is incredibly pleasing to look at. The sandals alongside it give an ethereal feel that I couldn’t have asked for more of.

Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages

Another classic look for the Princess of Light, the pastel colours contrasting with the deep blue in this look are visually pleasing. Coupled with the white cape and golden pauldrons, there is no better silhouette than this lovely lady’s.

A Link to the Past

Now this is Mother Theresa done right. The pink contrasting with the golden tassels and arm braces gives me a sense of joy that can only be found within the era of Lisa Frank. The colour palette of the sash is incredibly gaudy, and that’s just how I like it. Whoever said pink and orange don’t mesh well?

A Link to the Past

This might be a contradiction to what I’ve written earlier in this article, but I love the simplicity in this one. This casual outfit proves that you don’t need to be boring to be simple. I love the split front in the skirt, the puffed sleeves are a lovely white against the colour of the frock, and the Peter Pan collar is very adorable. The minimalistic golden bracelet is the perfect hint of glamour to raise this ensemble to the highest of standards.

So Lush, Even a Lynel Has To Stop And Stare

Hyrule Warriors: Concept Art

I’m disappointed that we didn’t get this outfit in-game. This is such a welcome departure from how the princess of Hyrule is usually shown and would’ve been a great choice for the spin-off series of games. Her golden boots have an impeccable shape, her cape has the perfect amount of flowiness, and the flowers in her hair add that touch of femininity that we love to see within the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom. A pure shame that this isn’t featured in any of the games. Bring her back.

Tears of the Kingdom: Zonai

It’s wild how just a pop of colour can drastically change a dress. The silhouette of this gown is the same as the white dress from Breath of the Wild; however, the added accents of gold and teal elevate this outfit to the highest of standards. Zelda’s shorter hairstyle really does fit this look well, proving that you should never underestimate the power of your hairdresser’s scissors.

Hyrule Warriors: Boss

I’m a former emo kid. Of course, this outfit was going to be top tier. It’s giving Amy Lee, but a vampire in your favourite YA novel.

Twilight Princess

I can’t help it. Even though I keep harping on about how I’ve never seen any gameplay of Twilight Princess, I just love the game already. I love Zant, I love Midna, and most of all, I LOVE Zelda’s look! The switch up from blonde to brunette is beautiful, and with the deepness of her hair contrasting against the incredibly pastel pink of her skirt (it’s not white!), I just can’t help but be in awe whenever I discover new art of this masterpiece. The golden accents aren’t too overwhelming, and the pattern on her sash is gorgeous.

Age of Calamity

Unsurprisingly, the cosy winter clothing is among my favourites. The brown leather trousers paired with the creamy fur on her high boots are so complementary to Zelda’s coat with its built-in capelet. Her gloves are stunning, and the golden accents on the outfit mesh well with her golden hair. If I were to change one tiny thing, I’d throw some fluffy earmuffs on her head, though that would probably pull away from the outfit’s practicality. Overall, though, it’s a beautiful outfit, and I’d wear this on my winter walks.

It’s clear to see that the design of Princess Zelda went through a rough patch at the very beginning of her creation; however, when the design team found something grand, they stuck with it for a lengthy period. We’re now starting to see a new era of the iconic wisdom wielder in her leather trousers and blue tunic… Though if I’m being completely honest, I hope that doesn’t stick around for too long. The short hair can stay, the blue, though… Let’s just say that I’d like to see the pinks and purples make a return.

I’d love to know what your favourite Zelda outfit is. Let me know in the comments below, and even better, if you disagree with my choices, let me know why!
