PlayStation Plus September 2020 Free Games

As of today, two games are up for grabs for PlayStation Plus members for a limited time with a larger emphasis on multiplayer titles as we approach the PS5 launch. Let’s unpack what this month’s offerings are!

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds

From PUBG Corporation, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is the Battle Royale title that kicked off the modern trend of the genre that is still ongoing today. Originally releasing in beta for PC players in 2016 and then for PS4 players in 2018, PUBG has come a long way in its development cycle and features a massive world to play in with more vehicles, weapons, and a grittier, more realistic art style than its competitors. It isn’t anything truly unique against the flood of clones in the genre, but could make for a few fun evenings with some friends.

Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

In a similar vein to previous entries, for the 30th anniversary of the franchise, Capcom released the Street Fighter V Arcade Edition. This includes all modes from the original version of the game as well as all Season 1 and 2 DLC characters and several new modes such as arcade mode. For players new to the game, this is the perfect way to jump in with the added content, allowing for a more robust experience than it was at launch.

And that does it for this month, how do you feel about this months selection? Are you going to play either of them, or do you already own these games? Let us know in the comments!
